ReachOut! Who's Who

Zachary Powers-Alves started the Toy Drive in 1999 and mentored high school students in the art of volunteering for the 2006 season.

Zachary Powers-Alves was a hospital patient at age 12 who noticed that other young patients needed cheering up.   So, he initiated a Toy Drive and would hand deliver presents to appreciative children.   We recognized his effort in our Who's Who program and made the Toy Drive an annual event under the auspices of ReachOut!.   For 2006, Zach mentored area high school students about the Toy Drive.
