ReachOut!
The ReachOut! program was created in 1999 by our employees to give back to credit union members and the local community. Our mission: making Bristol County a better place to live and work through three programs. In each case, every penny we raise goes directly to those we help.
ReachOut! Community supports local non-profit organizations through special fundraising projects - everything from T-shirt sales to raffles to cake sales. Local agencies helped include: Annelle Hagerman Food Bank, Our Sister's Place, We Love Children, Fall River Early Intervention Program, Marie's Place, the Mass. Department of Social Services and Saint Anne's Hospital. Our cause for 2006 was the Annelle Hagerman Food Pantry to which we made an initial $1,500 donation. More...
ReachOut! College-Bound awards two $1000 scholarships each year to talented area students in need to help them attend the college or university of their choice. The program is open each spring to high school seniors who will attend college in the fall and who are SFCU members or dependents of members.
ReachOut! Who's Who spotlights area students to age 18 who work behind the scenes to help others. Past Who's Who honorees have read books to the blind, organized litter clean-ups and initiated toy drives, among other good works. By publishing their stories in local media and our own communications, we hope to inspire others to ReachOut! too. More...
How to ReachOut!
The more people who get involved with ReachOut!, the more we can help deserving people in the community. How can you get involved?
